We are Barry Duijndam and Lawrence Gharib. We are Caelum Designs.
In 2021, with 32 years of combined experience in making high end furniture, we decided to (ad)venture out together and make desks and tables that are not places to sit, work or eat at. We wanted to create experiences across the board!
Amalgamating old artisan techniques with modern day design and ergonomics, Caelum Designs creates pieces that are timeless, beautiful and functional at the same time.

FounderBarry holds a degree in civil enginering but decided to follow his heart to become furniture maker.
He runs the Caelumm Designs workshop in The Hague, passion for wood, attention to detail and his creativity make him exceptional wood worker.

FounderLawrence holds a degree in modern history and is a trained luthier. He combines creative out-of-the-box creative thinking with an immense passion for woodworking.
He runs the Caelum Designs workshop in Lage Zwaluwe.
